Who is Dependable Bookeeping of CNY?
That would be me, Tammy Wiggins! I reside in Auburn, NY with my husband. We have two grown children and our first grandchild is on the way! Family has always been the most important part of my life and my mission is to help small business owners be able to spend more time with their own families by taking the hassle of bookkeeping out of their business – leaving them with more time to focus on what is most important!
What are my specific credentials?
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an associate’s degree in Business Administration. I have been working in this field for the last 14 years. During that time, I have had many responsibilities/roles including: accounts payable processing, customer statements, following up on past due accounts, filing sales and use tax with NYS, handling audits, entering journal entries, and tracking inventory. I have worked for a variety of businesses, including a local church, a guitar studio, a taxi company, a repair facility, and a construction company. These experiences have given me a chance to see how different types of businesses run, both profit and nonprofit, and use various accounting systems.
Why did a decide to start this business?
I decided to start after our last child moved out of the house. I was experiencing a bit of empty nest syndrome and suddenly had space for the office I had always wanted. The idea of this venture has been in my mind for many years, but the timing was never quite right. I took the empty room as a sign that this was the time, the time to make my dream a reality, and with the help and support of my family and friends – Dependable Bookkeeping of CNY was born.
